Anticipation is building as Apple gears up to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series later this year, serving as the successor to the current-generation iPhone 14 lineup. The upcoming handsets are rumored to come with significant hardware upgrades, including a periscope camera for the top-of-the-line Pro model and the adoption of USB Type-C ports. Noted Wall Street analyst, Dan Ives, predicts that the iPhone 15 series will compel millions of owners of older iPhone models to upgrade, despite the expected price hike.

Traditionally, Apple launches its new iPhone models in the third quarter of the year, and the iPhone 15 series, consisting of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, is expected to follow suit. Ives recently stated in an interview with CNBC that approximately 250 million iPhone models have not been upgraded over the past four years, and the arrival of the iPhone 15 lineup could entice users to make new purchases, significantly boosting Apple's sales.

According to Ives, the pricing for the upcoming iPhone 15 series will surpass that of the company's existing models. Business Insider, citing a research note by Ives, reports that the average selling price for the iPhone 15 series is estimated to be around $925 (roughly 76,300). This aligns with earlier speculations of a price increase. As is customary, Apple has not made any official announcements regarding the launch or pricing of the iPhone 15 series.

Ives also predicts that Apple's services will experience double-digit growth and is expected to reach the milestone of $100 billion (roughly Rs. 8,24,500 crore). He further notes that the new Apple Vision Pro will bolster the company's internet-focused services, including Apple TV+, App Store, iCloud, and Apple Music.

Rumors suggest that Apple will introduce notable hardware upgrades in its upcoming models. The purported flagship, iPhone 15 Pro Max, is said to feature a redesigned camera layout to accommodate a new periscope lens. Additionally, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to include the 48-megapixel camera introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models. Apple is anticipated to announce the iPhone 15 series later this year.

In other news, Apple recently unveiled its first mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, at its annual developer conference, along with new Mac models and upcoming software updates.
